The Conference of the Birds is an ongoing series of works inspired by the Sufi tradition and, more specifically, by the poem of the same name by Farid ud-Din Attar, a seminal figure who would later influence Rumi.
The series draws from the poem’s symbolic language, where the bird becomes a metamorphosis of the soul. It explores our own inner contrasts: the tangible and the intangible, grounding and flight, raw reality and the longing for freedom.
It illuminates the paradoxes woven through our ideals, our fears, and our convictions.
At its core, it is a mirror of life itself — a journey of ascent we all undertake, though the path varies with the singular contours of our own souls.
